Become Stable Remain Fruitful – Daily Devotional Day Four

Matthew 13:3b-4,7,22b:

“A man went out to sow his seed. As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up….  Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the plants….but the worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth choke it, making it unfruitful. (NIV)

Hebrews 4:11-13:

Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will fall by following their example of disobedience. For the Word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight, everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account. (NIV)

Being unstable will rob you of your fruitfulness, don’t allow Satan to steal your stability. Meditation on the Word will make you strong like the tree planted by the water. You will grow when the seed planted in you is watered by the Word. Don’t allow your seed to become choked by the deception of unbelief. It will try to break down the things that have been established in you, if you are not on guard. Even though you must be diligent and watchful, it doesn’t mean that you cannot rest in God. When you enter His rest, you allow the Word to come alive. The Spirit will then reveal the things that need to be cut off from you, keeping you grounded in the things of God. Thus, you will bear fruit and be ready in every season.

Stay in the Word; let it be a powerful weapon in your hand to discern all actions, thoughts and attitudes. It will guide you in each step of your journey if you will follow.
